Note this - Episcopal got beat last year by LBJ Austin - who got beat in 4A 1 title game by Stephenville! Meanwhile PE run ruled them Tapps teams in the playoffs. Aledo is now 5A D1 so it will be interesting to see how this team finishes this year. Prestonwood also got beat 49-21 by Garland who got beat in 6A 1st round. Coppell was 5-5 3-4 in district non playoff team.

Man, that is strong statement based on what information? That Allen doesn't want to play private schools? For all we know the next 3 freshman classes could be loaded with talent! I wouldn't count Allen out forever!

I don't necessarily buy into that...I will assure you that the Allen program didn't need that game to know they must improve.

SJB has assembled team that currently has 32 kids on the roster with D1 FBS offers Having well over 20 plus kids with D1 offers from last years team was not good enough. Then they allowed more to transfer in for only their sr year season only. There is no honor in assembling team like this. Most years only MD in California is going to give them great game. SJB is well oiled machine. However, I still believe MD is the better team today. This Allen program needs time under the current coach. I believe he will keep this job for many years. Truly only has had his team in pads for couple of weeks. Kyler Murray teams would have been much better game as they had much more talent overall than this team and they had their system in place!

Score was pretty misleading - I was at the game - Aledo had to play their only defensive returning starter at RB and he still rushed for over 200 yards as 3rd team RB. The game was series of Aledo turnovers in the 2nd QRt along with 4th down big plays by Amat. Amat was nice team losing really close game in the semifinals. Fast forward The kid who was MVP RB of state title game did not play vs BA along with another D1 skill kid that was limited in the game with injury. don’t get you panties tangled up. BA was nice team.
