What’s sad is there are over 1,000 teams in California and they can’t find 5-6 to agree to play

That part!! They shouldn't have to leave the state to find games when there's plenty of good teams in SoCal alone. But people are scared I guess 🫣

Well aware. They have no money to host or travel. Very tough situation to be in. If only they could play IMG.

Logan should have taken the MD job. It was his if he wanted it. The infrastructure and financial resources are worlds apart from Centennial. The MD booster club rivals most universities. He could have played against and traveled to anybody that is willing to schedule us.

Much less stress and a pension at Cen10. He mostly likely values his quality of life.

True, the MD job has the pressure of a college coach. His pension was a big factor. He would have been paid in the neighborhood of 7 figures at MD and would have made more money from sponsors. He was very close to taking the job. Closer than most people realize.

Then you can't expect to be ranked highly nationally without at least one quality OOS win.

Let's be honest "your" poll is skewed towards your clients. Secondly if Cen10 went undefeated and beat MD and Bosco plus NorCal champ in consecutive weeks they would almost certainly be top 5 nationally. Last time they did it only losing to DLS in the state title game they finished 2nd in nation. That year they played one OOS team East from Utah who ended up winning state.

My poll is only two years old. In last year's final poll, 8 of the Top 25 teams were NOT PGL clients. 90% of the elite teams in America are clients, which is why it may looked skewed to you. But that couldn't be further than the truth.

Next season if Cen10 goes undefeated with wins vs MD, SJB and Liberty AZ, they'd def have a shot at a MNC. The problem is your best OOS win would be against Liberty. Similarly, an undefeated BG with OOS wins at STA and at MD would trump that victory in my early opinion.

The same goes for teams like IMG and SFA, who would also all be part of that daisy chain.

It is irrelevant where the team you are playing is located. Who cares if they are OOS. Only thing that matters is the quality of the team, not their location. Crossing a state line in and of itself does not make it a better win.

Gotta play a "National" schedule to be a "National" champ. This is quite evident the last 10+ seasons with all MNCs.

Go back and look at the last time a team won a consensus MNC with an all in-state schedule. And will be very rare going forward.

That is because the best teams now in general look to schedule OOS. For some states they need to play OOS to get a better game. Its irrelevant. Every season MD’s best games have always been against Cali teams. Every season the best teams we play are Bosco, Cen10, Trinity, etc. When we beat SFA, Gorman, Duncanville, IMG those were not better than our best Cali wins.
