1A Chaminade loading up to be able to contend with the California behemoth

They got the guys on the LOS?   That's always going to be the make or break for them IMO.   Back 15 or so years ago I felt the LOS was one of the bigger weaknesses when it came to a lot of the top Cali teams.  Now, with such a rising number Polynesian football players, it's one of their biggest strengths.

What stinks is that none of the Power Publics in Dade are playing any elite/OOS opponents in 2024. So sad.

If Central played a national top 25 Florida team, how is that worse or less impressive than playing a national top 50 team? If Chaminade is ranked 8th in the country and they play them, they get not credit, but if they play the 15th or 20th ranked team who just so happens to be across an imaginary line into a different state, all of a sudden it’s much more impressive? Doesn’t make sense

Exactly! So far Miami Central has Lakeland and American Heritage on their schedule. I'm sure one, if not both will be nationally ranked to start the season in one of the 7, 8, or 9 polls that are out. And if MC starts the season in the 15-25 range which I'm expecting, beating both puts them around the 11-15 range. Good enough for me. Because we all know the MNC runs through the west coast anyway.

If SJB beats C-M, the results of the MC/C-M game won't matter. Last season C-M was 14-0, but finished with an extremely weak SOS of 30.5. MC used to take matters into their own hands. No more.

There's nothing wrong with taking a year off or two.
